Intern Responsibilities
Below is a brief description of what my internship entailed as well as requirements and qualifications.
DescriptionMy basic responsibilities as the ACF Youth Intern were forming relationships with high school aged students. As well as leading the high school girls and serving as a role model and mentor. The responsibilities of planning summer camp, posing ideas for small local church events, implementing, planning, and executing these ideas was expected of me. Facilitating healthy communication with students, families, and other members of the community via social media and email to kids and parents also falls on the intern.

Opportunities & Benefits
I was paid as an intern at Austin Christian Fellowship as well as provided housing with a family in the church. On top of pay and housing being covered, I was also given an allowance for the summer. This allowance consisted of funds that were to be used to cover any expenses that came when spending time with a student in the youth group (i.e. entrance fees to any parks, movie tickets, meals, supplies for an activity, etc). I was also able to gain professional experience working with partnering organizations and the opportunity to network throughout the Austin, TX area.
